Famous Healthy BANANA BREAD

Happy SNOW DAY!
Stuck inside with about a foot of snow- what better time to blog right?

.......

So if you don't know, I love to cook/bake/shake and all that jazz.
And if there is one thing I am 110% confident in making, it is my

Yes you read that right -
Whole Wheat/Oatmeal Banana Bread
with NO BUTTER, SUGAR, or OIL.

Get in my belly.

So without further adieu....

Ingredients:
-1/2 cup whole wheat flour
-1/2 cup old fashioned oats
-1/2 cup splenda
-1/4 cup brown sugar
-2 scoops protein powder
(I used cookies and cream whey protein-really good with cinnamon flavor also)
-1 tbsp chia seeds
-2 tbsp flax seeds
-1/2 cup greek yogurt
-2 eggs
-4 to 5 very ripe & mushy bananas
-1 tbsp baking powder
-1 tbsp cinnamon
-1 tbsp vanilla extract
-1/2 to 1 cup chocolate chips
depends on how chocolatey you want it! :)
-1/4 cup pecans/almonds/nuts

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F
2. Mix all the junx (powders first) into one big bowl
There will be a lot of "powder" just keep stirring and eventually everything will be mixed in.
The best part is getting to smash the bananas between your fingers before going into the mix :)
3. Add in the chocolate chips/nuts/raisins
4. Spray a bread pan with pam
5. Pour in the batter
6. Add another sliced banana/chocolate chips/cinnamon on top
7. Bake for 45-55 minutes

8. DEVOUR

This is what I had this morning: two slices microwaved for 1 minute
with Chocolate PB2 slathered on top.
YES.

I really challenge you to try and not eat it within 48 hours.
Made two loaves yesterday and there is half of one left today....
You have been warned.

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL KATIE :)

  1. How big are your protein powder scoops? Do you happen to know how many cups or tablespoons of protein powder this recipe uses?

    1. I use the scoop given in the protein powder bottle usually. One full scoop is about 1/4 cup so the recipe would be 1/2 cup total! :)
